Buying like I was really sewing....

I finally updated the 'fabric in' totals...

Shocking, but in 2 months I have managed to acquire a fuzz over 42 yards of fabric.

Whilst sewing up less than 1/4 of that amount.

Time to put the brakes on, I believe, and get some sewing done....

But I'm not going to get a sewing road trip on the schedule this year, it appears, so at least I don't have to resist fabric live-and-in-person.... :-)

Off to work on the Denim Jacket muslin #2.  If I've got the shoulders/sleeves right, we're full steam ahead...

  1. Love the post title "Buying like I was really sewing...." lol. That's where I was last year. I had to put the brakes on. So hard to stop, I love fabric, but everything else gets in the way of my sewing. Full steam ahead...

  3. I understand this...I've done it for years. This will probably be the first year where I sew out more than I bring in.

    1. In all the years I've been tracking yards in vs. yards out...I think I've managed to hit parity (sew as much as I buy) only twice. NEVER have I sewn significantly more than I bought.

Pitiful. But I have really restricted my fabric purchases in the last couple of years; just didn't keep the sewing level up to what it used to be. But I need clothes to replace the ones that are fading, pilling and, um, snug, so I'm hoping to get those yards out up a bit this year. With those thoughts running through my head as I perused the sales, those yards in piled up quick....
