Here we go again

I wanted to check fit on a couple of jackets to compare with my latest muslin...I thought the quickest way to do that would be to just look at the photos with the reviews.

So I went to one of them and clicked and...the Photoworks link was broken. Again.

Sigh. I clicked through and started to look for it, when suddenly a phase that had flashed by on the home page registered.

'Photoworks is closing. But we've found a great place for your photos!'

(*Beats head on desk. No! No! No!...*)

They have a transfer to Shutterfly all set up and ready to go; I had to create a Shutterfly account and then hit transfer. The photos won't be available for a couple of days whilst the transfer is taking place.

But the issue is...I've got to relink all those photos. Again.

Sigh.

  1. Lisa - I understand your frustrations. Isn't this the 3rd or 4th time this has happened to you? And you have quite a few reviews on PR don't you? I think it's one of the reasons I use my blog so heavily as a resource because all the pics are there and from my computer (which I've finally managed to back up) so yeah I can understand how annoyed you must be to have to go through this process yet again!

  2. Let's see..(counts) Photoworks reformatted twice; Yahoo reformatted, then closed...yeah, this is the 5th time. Most of those photos are from before the blog...I've used the photos on Picasa (where Blogger stores the photos) some, but it does some flakey things; sometimes, when I click through to see the photo, instead of bringing up the linked photo it brings up the whole album. Other times, same photo...it's fine. I don't know why that happens so I can't fix it, and it makes me hesitant to link to the picasa pictures. Just a glance through Shutterfly...it doesn't look like I can share the whole album, like I did w/Photoworks for the old reviews. Who knows when I'll get around to fixing it all...
