Hot off the Press

Or rather, hot off the ironing board...

I wanted to post after I finished the jacket...but I kept wandering off and doing other stuff, so the jacket didn't get finished until late. I'll post a real picture of it on my body in the next day or two, but here's a quick glimpse of the finished product:

I made a little scarf, too. When fabric is in the neighborhood of $30/yd, ya don't wanna waste any... ;)

  1. Oh my goodness, Lisa! That just turned out stunning. Fantastically elegant. Are you making something for the lower half? ;) Inquiring minds want to know.

  2. I dunno, Charity. I recently got some black lace from an online vendor that was labeled as stretch...but it isn't stretch lace, so my idea for a black lace t is shot. However, I'm mulling over using it in a skirt...perhaps lace godets...or maybe some lined lace palazzo pants. The jacket is so festive, I'm kind of inclined to keep the 'lower half' simple, and I've got several pairs of simple black pants.
But I do have a knee-length straight black lace skirt that ought to look pretty snazzy with the jacket, if I want to really dress up. ;)
